PARABLE OF THE LAMP 06-03-25

Oh give thanks unto the lord for he is good yes He is good. It is no secret that we as believers are to be the light(lamp) to the world. The question you have to ask yourself today is; “am I shining the light or have I not paid the price to the power source?” only you and God know the correct answer. We are going to be fed on the subject with a quick but filling meal but first we will pray.

Today’s Prayer

(Make This Personal)

Dear Lord, You were here when I needed You. Your love engulfed me, Your Holy Spirit empowered me, and Your strength sustained me. Oh Lord, let me be there when You need me – to share Your love with another, to be a tower of strength in someone’s weakness, to reflect You in all that I do; for how else can I praise You? How else can I show my heart’s thanksgiving? How else can You know that I love You? It is not enough to praise You and say “I love You” on Sunday; it’s how I live on Monday and throughout the week, isn’t it? Does my life really reflect my love for You in the way I live each day? In the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Parable of the Lamp

Luke 8:16-18

“No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. “So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.”

Quote of the Day

We are half-hearted creatures like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. ~(Clive Staples) C. S. Lewis~
