ARE YOU THERE? 10-28-16

_-102516-silence

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. The Holy Spirit has compelled me to give someone reading this message (other than myself), a few words of encouragement so I will be faithful to the leading; first we will pray. This is not a new message. I first sent this message back in 2005. May it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

(This is a prayer that is stirring in my soul right now)

Father I have observed people who are so motivated all the time and those who just can’t seem to get moving to accomplish anything. Please, keep me motivated. I pray that I will never fall into a state of complacency or depression or negative thinking that will pull me down and suck the motivation out of me. Keep me positive Lord, with a healthy attitude, no matter what my circumstances, whether “on the mountain tops” or journeying “through the valleys.” May I always trust in You and remember to look up and out and not be focused inwardly to the point of self-centeredness or self-pity. I pray for those people I know who have fallen into this trap. I pray that they will get their mind off of their problems and self, and turn their focus on You and on how they can minister to others and bless others and please You. I pray for a boost to their faith and a change in their attitudes. I pray for Your joy in their spirits. I pray for relief from whatever is holding them back. I pray in the name of Jesus and through the power of His shed blood, for chains to be broken and strongholds to be torn down. I pray for freedom and new life. And may You be glorified as a result. May all Your people join in praise and shout “Hallelujah” from the depths of their hearts. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Are You There?

Be still and know that I am God…. – Psalm 46:10

There is a time and place in our walk with God in which He sets us in a place of waiting. It’s a place where all past experiences mean nothing. It’s a time of such stillness that it can disturb even the most faithful if we don’t understand that He is the one who has brought us to this place for only a season. It’s as if God has placed a wall around us. No new opportunities–simply inactivity.

During these times, God is calling us aside to fashion something new in us. It’s like an isolation chamber designed to call us to deeper roots of prayer and faith. It’s not a comfortable place, especially for a task-driven believer. Our nature cries out, “You must do something,” while God is saying, “Be still and know that I am God.” You know the signs that you’ve been brought into this chamber when He has removed many things from your life and you can’t seem to change anything. Perhaps you are unemployed. Perhaps you are laid up with an illness.

Most religious people live a very planned and orchestrated life where they know almost everything that will happen. But for people in whom God is performing a deeper work, He brings them into a time of quietness that seems almost eerie. They can’t say what God is doing. They just know that He is doing a work that can’t be explained to themselves or to anybody else.

Has God brought you to a place of being still?

Be still and know that He really is God.

When this happens, the chamber will open soon after.

Quote of the Day

When you become consumed by God’s call on your life, everything will take on new meaning and significance. You will begin to see every facet of your life – including your pain – as a means through which God can work to bring others to Himself.
