A FOCUS ON SANCTIFICATION 12-21-18

Good day everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. As I awoke and thanked God for another day, the word “Sanctification” dropped into my spirit. So I went and got some scripture on the subject. Please insert your name, church name or town that you live in into the scripture where it is appropriate because it is meant for you personally.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, as we prepare for Christmas, please help us to resolve to make it Your special day. In the midst of the entire seasonal hustle and bustle, the crowded highways and shopping malls, let us take time out to prepare our hearts, as we think of Your birth on that first Christmas in Bethlehem. Let us re-read the story of that incredible event when heaven and earth came together to share the glory and the wonder of Your birth on that holy night, and let us read it once again with our families. Help us to make You the center and the reason for our celebration this year. In Your holy name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Sanctification
(The word means “to set apart,” “to separate”)

The Sanctification of Believers

1 Corinthians 1:2

I am writing to God’s church in Corinth, to you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

2 Thessalonians 2:13

As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation—a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth.

1 Peter 1:3-4

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

The question of the day is; are you one of the sanctified that is talked about in the scripture or are you still waiting to get yourself together before you come to Christ? The time to seek Him is right now, no matter what condition you find yourself in. He has His hand extended for you to grab on to.

Quote of the Day

God is none other than the Savior of our wretchedness. So we can only know God well by knowing our iniquities… Those who have known God without knowing their wretchedness have not glorified him, but have glorified themselves.
