A REMINDER TO BE FAITHFUL 05-12-15

_ 030214 Remain Faithful

As I sit here reflecting on how badly I didn’t want to serve on jury duty this week and how boring it was to sit in a large room of over 100 people waiting to find out if we were going to be chosen to sit on an actual trial, I got checked in my spirit with the word “FAITHFULNESS”. It was a reminder that we are to be faithful in all we do no matter what. I’m before you and God right now thanking him for the chastisement and His faithfulness. The message today is on that very subject. P.S.; Today is my birthday and I thank God for being able to share it with my spiritual family.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before this morning, grateful for the years you have given me. Although I have not always acknowledged that it’s all about you, I know that I never would have made it without You. As long as I continue to draw breath, I will sing Your praises and lift your name on high so that everyone I come in contact with will have no doubt who I belong to and who guides my life. My prayer today is that You continue to use me to bring glory to you. I present this and all things to You in the wonderful name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

A Call to Remain Faithful

Jude 1:17-25 –

But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said. They told you that in the last times there would be scoffers whose purpose in life is to satisfy their ungodly desires. These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them. But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love. And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives. Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.

Quote of the Day

(On the night he was robbed:) I thank Thee first because I was never robbed before; second, because although they took my purse they did not take my life; third, although they took my all, it was not much; and fourth, because it was I who was robbed and not I who robbed.
