A TEACHING ON THE WORD NONE 03-02-16

_ 030215 None

(CLICK THE PICTURE) Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. When I sat down to begin the message, the word “NONE” dropped into my spirit. It rested heavy. If you know me at all, you know that I went directly to the bible to find scripture to fit the word. Here is what I came up with. Let it bless you as it did me.

Today’s Prayer

Father, while we are in the Lenten season, help us to assess our lives: as Christians, as the Church, and as a Nation. Help us to see our short-comings, and to discover Your vision for us! Let us each ask: (1) Do I seek Your will and Your help daily? Do I read Your Word? Do I take time to encourage my family, and to lend a helping hand to someone in need? (2) Do I feel that we, as Your Church, are adequately teaching Your Word; Your truth? Do both our church and our government leaders seek Your will before they make decisions? (3) Are we teaching our young people the difference between right and wrong? Do we explain that Your way of living brings joy, blessings, inner strength and peace, while wrong and sinful living brings severe consequences and heartache? (4) Am I setting a good example by being a concerned citizen, by trying to do my part in turning our nation around? Do I let my representatives know when I think they are misleading us and ignoring our Christian heritage? Oh Lord, forgive me as a Christian for too often standing on the sidelines. Help me to resolve to consecrate my life again in order to be a better Christian in all areas of my life. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

None

There is none upright

Micah 7:1-10

How miserable I am! I feel like the fruit picker after the harvest who can find nothing to eat. Not a cluster of grapes or a single early fig can be found to satisfy my hunger. The godly people have all disappeared; not one honest person is left on the earth. They are all murderers, setting traps even for their own brothers. Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice. Even the best of them is like a brier; the most honest is as dangerous as a hedge of thorns. But your judgment day is coming swiftly now. Your time of punishment is here, a time of confusion. Don’t trust anyone—not your best friend or even your wife! For the son despises his father. The daughter defies her mother. The daughter-in-law defies her mother-in-law. Your enemies are right in your own household! As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. I will be patient as the Lord punishes me, for I have sinned against him. But after that, he will take up my case and give me justice for all I have suffered from my enemies. The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness.

There is none righteous

Romans 3:9-10

Well then, should we conclude that we Jews are better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles, are under the power of sin. As the Scriptures say, No one is righteous—not even one.

There is none good

Matthew 19:16-30

Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question—if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” the man asked. And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely.Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.’” “I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?” Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.” Then Peter said to him, “We’ve given up everything to follow you. What will we get?” Jesus replied, “I assure you that when the world is made new and the Son of Man sits upon his glorious throne, you who have been my followers will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life. But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.

Quote of the Day

He has held me when I have had no more strength and have wondered how I would ever make it. He has held me when I have felt defeated by all that I had to do. When I have run to my El Shaddai, I have never come away wanting. He is my all-sufficient One. O Beloved, do you understand? Have you experienced Him as your El Shaddai? If not, He is waiting – arms opened wide – for you.
