ALMOST HEALED 11-06-16

_-110616-almost

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. As I sat here the word “almost” hit my spirit. It’s a great word to use for things like horse shoes or bombs but when it’s used in reference to Jesus and God, it just will not do. Let the word bless you today.

Today’s Prayer

Father, Your Word says that, “With God all things are possible.”* So if we are on Your side, on Your wavelength, living within Your will, then we are on the same side. What more do we need? It’s up to us to live close to You daily so that we can recognize Your direction for us isn’t it? For then and only then can we step out in faith, trusting that ” all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen, Amen, and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Slightly Healed

Jeremiah 6:13-15

From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds. They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace. Are they ashamed of their disgusting actions? Not at all—they don’t even know how to blush! Therefore, they will lie among the slaughtered. They will be brought down when I punish them,” says the Lord.

Covetous People

(v. 13)

“From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.

Like Judas

Matthew 26:14-15

Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve disciples, went to the leading priests and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.

Baptized Professors

(v. 13)

“From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.

Like Simon

Acts 8:18-20

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given when the apostles laid their hands on people, he offered them money to buy this power. “Let me have this power, too,” he exclaimed, “so that when I lay my hands on people, they will receive the Holy Spirit!” But Peter replied, “May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God’s gift can be bought!

False Preachers

(v. 13)

“From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.

Like Balaam

2 Peter 2:15

They have wandered off the right road and followed the footsteps of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong.

Deceived souls

(v. 14)

They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace.

Christ less professors

Revelation 20:10

Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

How’s that for a Rude Awakening?

Quote of the Day

I am convinced that a downgrading in priority of…prayer and biblical meditation is a major cause of weakness in many Christian communities….Bible study demands pondering deeply on a short passage, like a cow chewing her cud. It is better to read a little and ponder a lot than to read a lot and ponder a little.
