AN INTERCESSOR’S GIFT 01-11-19

Good morning everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice! There are a lot of people that don’t understand why I praise the Lord so openly. I do it first and foremost for who He is and secondly for everything that He has changed in my life and finally for the opportunity to preach the gospel.

Today’s Prayer

Father, thank You for reminding us that You delight in passionate worship. Your Word tells us to clap our hands, shout to You with cries of joy, lift up holy hands in prayer, praise You with dancing, bow down in worship, kneel before You, pour out our hearts, be still and silent, sing and worship with instruments. There are so many wonderful ways to worship You, adore You, praise and lift You up. Please help us to let ourselves go, and let the Holy Spirit guide us. We want to worship You with our whole self, in Spirit, mind, and body. God, worshiping You and feeling Your presence is such a blessing to us. We pray that we will be ever mindful of Your desire to fellowship with us and to receive honor and glory and praise as an expression of our love and gratefulness for You. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

An Intercessor’s Gift

Ephesians 3:2-13

Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. As you read what I have written, you will understand what I know about this plan regarding Christ. God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now he has revealed it by the Holy Spirit to his holy apostles and prophets. And this is the secret plan: The Gentiles have an equal share with the Jews in all the riches inherited by God’s children. Both groups have believed the Good News, and both are part of the same body and enjoy together the promise of blessings through Christ Jesus. By God’s special favor and mighty power, I have been given the wonderful privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. Just think! Though I did nothing to deserve it, and though I am the least deserving Christian there is, I was chosen for this special joy of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. I was chosen to explain to everyone this plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. God’s purpose was to show his wisdom in all its rich variety to all the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms. They will see this when Jews and Gentiles are joined together in his church. This was his plan from all eternity, and it has now been carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come fearlessly into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome. So please don’t despair because of what they are doing to me here. It is for you that I am suffering, so you should feel honored and encouraged.

Sometimes we don’t believe God can speak through others to encourage, and even humor us in miraculous ways. God wants to demonstrate His love and even light humor, in His relationship with us. Develop your intimacy with God and experience Him in the very intimate aspects of your life.

Quote of the Day

I believe the hard heart-test, most cross grained and most unloving Christians in all the world are those who have not had much trouble in their life. And those that are the most sympathizing, loving and Christlike are generally those who have the most affliction. The worse thing that can happen to any of us is to have a path made too smooth. One of the greatest blessings the Lord ever gave us was a cross.
