Good day and praise the Lord for giving us another chance to get ourselves straight and to spread the gospel. The question becomes, Will you do it? There is someone out there that needs you.
Today’s Prayer
On behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ I lift my hands in praise, to honor You Ancient of Days. You were and are and are to come. You alone are worthy. You alone are all-powerful. You alone have the keys to death and hell. You alone have provided the way to heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. You know the past and can see the future. Thank You for carrying and being with us through our lives. Thank You that You will be with us always and we will be with You in eternity. We love You and want to glorify You in all we are and do. Please forgive us for failing. Help us, Father. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Being
a Shelter for Those in Need
The following scripture grabbed me as I read it and put me in a deep mode of giving thanks to God. What a revelation I got from this.
Each
man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm,
like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in
a thirsty land.– Isaiah
32:2
Think
about this. It’s a very hot day and you’re outside for an
extended period. The sun is beating down, sweat begins to pour off
your brow, and your throat and mouth are parched with thirst. A
little shade, a slight breeze, or a cool drink becomes the greatest
thing that you could get at that moment.
This
is the reality of this whole thing. If you work for a living you are
spending about 10 hours or more of your day getting to work, working
and returning home. We spend a major portion of our time awake in our
workplace. So if this is the case, this is where our ministry is.
When you and I walk with Christ in our workplace, regardless what the
environment is, we become that kind of oasis for non-Christians. On
the other hand, they may not recognize it at the time. Let’s face it;
the workplace is pretty tough, especially when Christ is not in the
center of it. When a person becomes aware of their need of Christ
through you or me, we have become a shelter from the wind. We become
their refuge from the storms of life.
I
don’t know who to give credit to for saying this but it is so very
true;you
and I might be the only Bible someone ever reads, so we need to be
something worth reading.
Are you available to be that shelter for a non-believing friend?
If
so, then you may open the eyes of someone who has been blind his or
her whole life. What an incredible blessing to know you were the
instrument God used to bring a person into His Kingdom.
Then
the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of
those who hear will listen(Isaiah
32:3).
Quote of the day
We
can be certain that God will give us the strength and resources we
need to live through any situation in life that he ordains. The will
of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.
