BEHOLD THE LAMB 03-29-16

_ 032916 BEHOLD

(CLICK THE PICTURE) Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good. I have a question for each of you this morning for which only you and God know the answer. It is going to make somebody really seek forgiveness. Are you a participant or a spectator in your spiritual growth? Deal with that one this morning as we worship God.

Today’s Prayer

Father, it takes two to do anything in life; two to quarrel, two to forgive; two to make a marriage, two to break a marriage; two to enjoy friendship; two to share the beauty of a sunset. It also takes You and us, Lord, to make any sense out of life. Help us want to center our lives on You, that we may reflect You in all that we do, so that our world, Yours and ours, will be brighter; and because we met, another’s world can be brighter too. In Your holy name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

We must behold the spirits urging

Matthew 21:1-11

Jesus’ Triumphant Entry

21 As Jesus and the disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the town of Bethphage on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. “Go into the village over there,” he said. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.”

This took place to fulfill the prophecy that said,

“Tell the people of Jerusalem,
‘Look, your King is coming to you.
He is humble, riding on a donkey—
riding on a donkey’s colt.’”

The two disciples did as Jesus commanded. They brought the donkey and the colt to him and threw their garments over the colt, and he sat on it.

Most of the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of him, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,

“Praise God for the Son of David!
Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Praise God in highest heaven!”

10 The entire city of Jerusalem was in an uproar as he entered. “Who is this?” they asked.

11 And the crowds replied, “It’s Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Behold, I stand at the door

Revelation 3:20

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

The Word of Entreaty Behold, now is the day of salvation

2 Corinthians 6:1-2

As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God’s kindness and then ignore it. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

The Word of Promise Behold, I come as a thief

Revelation 16:15

Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”

Quote of the Day

The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul (Psalm 19:7). Most laws condemn the soul and pronounce sentence. The result of the law of my God is perfect. It condemns but forgives. It restores – more than abundantly – what it takes away.
