Building on a Solid Foundation 02-24-18

Good day to ya everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good yes He is good and worthy of all of our praise. As I sit in my secret place this morning the word “foundation” is dropping very heavy in my spirit so I going to the manual to drop some scripture on you (short and sweet) that will give you a jump start to your day. Get ready. This is a memory jogger.

Today’s Prayer

Father, Your Word for us to cast our cares upon you. Oh how we want to do that, to bring all our cares to you and leave them at your feet. We don’t want to be worriers, but people whose faith is strong to trust you. We want to bring those burdens and concerns to you, and not keep picking them up and worrying about them. May this year be one of spiritual breakthrough in our lives and in the lives of those we love. May our lives be filled with joy and peace through your Spirit. May you be the center and the heart of our homes. May we be more Christ like and less like the world in our everyday lives. Help us and have mercy upon us, dear God. Please forgive us of our sins and guide our steps. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Building on a Solid Foundation

Luke 6:46-49

So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”

Quote of the Day

There come times when I have nothing more to tell God. If I were to continue to pray in words, I would have to repeat what I have already said. At such times it is wonderful to say to God, “May I be in Thy presence, Lord? I have nothing more to say to Thee, but I do love to be in Thy presence.
