Come Out Of Babylon 05-15-20

As I sat here putting together this message today I am reminded that I don’t know exactly how many people read these messages but I know that without God, none of this is possible. So this morning I thank God for moving me to make this happen everyday and I also praise God for each and every one of you who receives these messages and passes them on. Let’s continue our Kingdom building.

Today’s Prayer

Father, teach us that there will be times of concern when we need to turn everything over to You, to relax, and to trust it all to You — to “climb our watchtower and wait to see what answer You will give to our complaint.”* Remind us that our weakness is Your opportunity to show us that Your strength is sufficient. Forgive us for forgetting that You never asked us to bear ALL of our burdens alone. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Coming Out of Babylon

…”Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.” Revelation 18:4 – Philippians 3:10

As Christian believers we are called to acknowledge the signs of the times. If you are at all a spiritual person, God gives you unction in your spirit when He is getting ready to change things around you. When the Soviet Union fell, many knew it was going to happen because they could recognize the signs of the times. God has a way of shaking things up. These shakeups force us to determine who and what we will place our trust in. God says that we are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind” (Matthew 22:37).

As I put together this message, I realize that God is in the process of changing my path because I had possibly become stuck in a place where I was working into a personal Babylon. He has called me out to do another work instead of letting me stay in a place where there was only murmuring and complaining. When we are in situations where people only want to plot evil, it’s time to move. We need to pray over the situation, put it in God’s hands and move on.

Are you still living in Babylon in the way you live your daily life? If so, expect to share in the sins of Babylon when God decides to judge it. Ask God to show you where you might be operating in a “Babylonian” system of life. Do it right now.

Quote of the Day

God is not looking for ways to make you “squirm.” He does, however, want to be Lord of your life. Whenever you identify a place where you refuse to allow His lordship that is a place He will go to work. He is interested in absolute surrender. God may or may not require you to do that very thing you identified, but He will keep working until you are willing for Him to be Lord of all.
