ETERNITY PUT IN FOCUS 01-07-17

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone and we are starting the seventh day of the New Year with words of encouragement for everyone in and out of the Christian family. God has given us another year and another chance to be good stewards of the word. Are you up to the task?

Today’s Prayer

Father, On this seventh day of 2012 I come to you on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to proclaim that you are the God of everything and we are not. You really don’t need our help to be God but you use us to bring glory to Your name and we thank You. Continue to challenge our spirits to be in your will at all times and we will be so ever careful to covet your precious gifts in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Eternal Life in Three Aspects

1- Eternal Life in Promise

Titus 1:2-3

This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began. And now at just the right time he has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone. It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for him.

2- Past Eternal Life in Possession

1 John 5:13-15

I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God; so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

3- Present Eternal Life in Prospect

Jude 20-21

But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.

Future

God’s promise of the past has now become His gift;

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23,

and whoever accepts it as such, has it in him as a present possession Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son.” 1 John 5:9 while he waits for its full fruition in glory.

Quote of the Day

We should take advantage of His faithfulness and make every day a fresh start. Resolve to make each day the beginning of a new year, a new morning, a new adventure. He wipes the slate clean and goes back to zero so we can be filled up again with His spirit and give it out all day long. Enjoy the blessings of a new year, in Christ, one day at a time!
