FIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHRIST 04-07-16

_ 040716 RELATIONSHIP

(CLICK THE PICTURE) Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Our focus in this journey is to have a relationship with the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost; how’s that working out in your life? Is it growing everyday? You know I’m not expecting an answer from you but God is.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to ask some very pointed questions and make a plea; will we fail You as the disciples did at Gethsemane? Will we be found today looking the other way while many in films, TV, comedy, the press and the arts choose to blaspheme and ridicule You? Will we remain silent while others blatantly interpret their freedom of expression to mean a license to immorality or impropriety, and where reverence and respect are no longer exhibited? Oh Lord, by our very silence, will we not become a party to crucifying You again today? Help us have the courage to defend You in these trying times for fear that we become a party to the destruction of everything for which Jesus lived and died, and thereby forfeit our right to eternal life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Five Relationships With Christ

To Christ

John 6:35-37 –

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But you haven’t believed in me even th ough you have seen me. However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

For Salvation In Christ

Romans 8:1-2 –

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Free from Condemnation; On Christ

1 Peter 2:6 –

As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”

As a Sure Foundation; With Christ

John 13:1-10 –

Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He had loved his disciples during his ministry on earth, and now he loved them to the very end. It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. When Jesus came to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.” “No,” Peter protested, “you will never ever wash my feet!” Jesus replied, “Unless I wash you, you won’t belong to me.” Simon Peter exclaimed, “Then wash my hands and head as well, Lord, not just my feet!” Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean. And you disciples are clean, but not all of you.”

As a Saint in Communion; Unto Christ

Acts 1:8 –

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Quote of the Day

When Christ entered into Jerusalem the people spread garments in the way: when He enters into our hearts, we pull off our own righteousness, and not only lay it under Christ’s feet but even trample upon it ourselves.
