(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning and praise God for the wonders of life He bestows on us. This is a short but sweet message. If you can sit around and do nothing after this, you’re lost.
Today’s Prayer
Father, You did not say how long the prodigal son was away. It could have been one, five, ten years, or more. It’s hard to be a parent, only to be able to stand by when a loved child takes a wrong path; yet it must be his or her “wake up moment,” and all that any parent can do is to pray and to trust You to do the drawing. How much more then we begin to understand some of Your heartache Lord. Even though You first chose us and loved us, You too are helpless unless we choose You, for love must be freely given. Oh Lord, open our hearts to understand this. It’s in the matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Get out of your comfort Zone
If anyone is ashamed of me and my message, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in his glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels. Luke 9:26
Here is a serious question folks; how much have you suffered because you have stood by the name of Jesus? Have you refused to budge on an issue that would dishonor His name? Second Timothy 3:12 says, “All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
There’s no escaping persecution for true Christians. We will be persecuted when we journey down the path to “live godly in Christ Jesus.” Now, on the other hand, if you’re not being persecuted, don’t say you must be doing a wonderful job. Very frank and straight to the point, you’re doing a poor job. Let me ask you: If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Regrettably, most people would have to say no.
Get out of your comfort zone today. Check into doing a short-term mission trip; start a Bible Study; witness to your neighbor; take a homeless person to lunch; take a walk in your neighborhood and tell someone that Jesus loves them. Comfort is not an option.

When Jesus hears our prayers and intervenes in our distress, He does so because His love toward us is free and unmerited, and because he by His suffering and death has purchased and won for us all that we need. And He is now ready at all times to give us these things. He waits only for one thing, and for this He must wait, and that is for us to ask Him to help us. For Jesus will not and cannot force Himself into our distress. We ourselves must open unto Him. And that is the purpose that our prayers should serve.
