Good day and praise the Lord for another wonderful day. I hope that you’re ready for these morsels we are about to consume. You know by now that it’s going to be filling, so get your utensils ready.
Today’s Prayer
Father, on behalf of my brothers and sister everywhere, I ask that you help us to walk closely with You daily, taking time to read Your Word, so that we will come to know You, and recognize Your Spirit’s leading, so that we will not be deceived or coerced into following “another God.” Give us the courage and wisdom to “pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” Help us to “fight the good fight of faith,”** that we may be Your true witnesses. In Jesus’ name we pray and give thanks, Amen.
Let’s eat.

Ready for every Good Work
Titus 3:1-5
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
Abound in every Good Work
2 Corinthians 9:8
God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give joyfully to others.
Fruitful in every Good Work
Colossians 1:6-10
This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co-worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf. He has told us about the love for others that the Holy Spirit has given you. So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
Quote of the Day
Stand in a stream with waters around your ankles. The waters that pass by you at that moment, you will never see again. So it is with the misery that has challenged your life: Let it go, let it pass away.
