Glenn’s Meal 07-29-13

Good morning everyone. As I woke up the Lord dropped the word “encourage” into my spirit and I began to think about the things and people He has put in my path just this past week that were a blessing and encouraged me to continue on in my well doing, so I’m going to pass along some encourage straight from the Word of God, but first we pray.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Father, I come before you on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to ask you to help us realize that Christians everywhere are in a spiritual battle, and need to recognize the enemy — those who ridicule and demean You, trying to blot out Your influence. Help us realize also that “greater is He (God) who is within us, than he (Satan) who is in the world.” If we walk in Your will, then You will never desert us, for we can count on You. You will provide strength and courage and guidance, for You are true to Your Word. The question is, can You count on us? Oh Lord, we hope so, for we need You, and You need your people to be faithful. Help us to keep our connection for we are often weak, and we are helpless without You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Philippians 4:6-8

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now dear brothers and sisters one final thing; Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“There is no circumstance, no trouble, no testing, that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment. But I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart.”
