Good morning everyone. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. I thank God for the way He orchestrates my life and even when I make dumb mistakes, He covers them up with His mercy and grace. My prayer is that He is the same way in your life.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to make the following requests. I know You have chosen each one of us for a purpose. Help us fulfill that purpose. I pray for wisdom to pass the tests You allow in our lives, to strengthen our faith and develop us for Your great purpose. If we are to lead; help us lead. If we are to follow; help us follow. If we are to make a difference in the world; help us make that difference. If we are to influence one life; help us influence that life. Whatever our lot in life is; help us succeed and excel for Your glory. Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

“MAY I PRAY FOR YOU?”
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
I really love the fact that as a minister of the word, God has me out in the field in order to do the work that He has for me as opposed to what my feeble mind has conceived as the proper call. The life experiences that he presents on a daily basis are mind blowing and the chances to minister are abundant.
I was having a conversation with a friend of mind in the office just a couple days ago he seemed to be physically struggling so I asked if he was okay. He explained to me that he had not been sleeping well for the last couple weeks due to Allergies and he just had very little energy. I asked him if I could pray with him. He said “Oh, I don’t want to take God’s with little things like this.” He was touched that I would offer to pray with him. The next day I told him my prayer group was praying on his behalf. He couldn’t believe that I would do such a thing for him.
It’s interesting what happens when you offer to pray with someone. Offering to pray for/with someone can be the most genuine and loving thing you can do for another person. It can be the one means of getting a conversation on a spiritual plane that cuts across religious stigmas and gets to the root of the problem; the person’s real need. It immediately reveals your own values and sets the stage for future encounters. All it takes is a little holy boldness to step through the door when the opportunity seems to present itself.
Is there anything too small to pray about? Do we, in fact, bother God when we make any request that is not dealing with only the poor in the world? Paul clearly tells us in the above mentioned scripture that prayer is talking with God. It’s having such a relationship with Him that we can bring anything to His attention.
We’ve all heard of or prayed for a parking spot or other such seemingly trivial prayer requests, but are they trivial to God? If God is our closest and most intimate friend, then it becomes very natural to talk to Him as you would a friend who might be sitting next to you in the car. Yes, God desires to have such close communion with you and me that we can pray about anything-even a parking spot.
As you enter your place of work today, ask a co-worker if you can pray for/with them about something. You may be surprised at what doors will open as a result.
