Good day to everyone. As I sit here just thinking about my life and how when I thought I was in control of it, how messed up things were before I gave control to God. Then the word “HELP” dropped in my spirit. I went to the Psalms for some encouragement.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Gracious Lord God, as we prepare for Thanksgiving Day in a few days, let us prepare our hearts. As many across the nation are worshipping together, let us join together in praising You and counting our blessings, for we each have some, perhaps more than we realize — we are here! Any day that one can get out of bed is a day to be grateful. We thank You for Your sustaining grace, Your protection, and for Your presence in our lives through good times and through trying times this past year. We pray for those in this country, and in other nations around the world, who are suffering and need Your help. As You have blessed us, help us to be a blessing to others, in sharing where we can, and in praying that You will sustain them and supply their needs. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
GOD IS OUR HELP
Psalm 121
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
Quote of the Day
“The whole being of any Christian is Faith and Love…Faith brings the man to God, love brings him to men.”
