1 112613 Fear not

Good day everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good. We serve a God that tells us to fear nothing because He has our backs but there are many reading the message right now that the grip of some kind of fear has you paralyzed at this very moment. I come against the spirit of fear right now in the name of Jesus.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Father, help us see that our first priority is to seek Your will in all things, and then to be obedient to it, no matter what the cost! Sacrifice isn’t sacrifice unless we give up something important to us, is it? Commitment isn’t commitment unless we put Your will ahead of our own desires. Help us see that we have a long way to go before we grow out of our complacency, and our sometimes self-righteous arrogance. Help us to get on with our life, and to count You in. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

FEAR NOT
Spoken by the Lord in varied circumstances

-To the Shepherds-

-Luke 2:8-10-

That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people

-In the Fields To the new Convert-

-Luke 5:1-10-

One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking. When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

-On the Seashore To the anxious Father-

-Luke 8:49-56-

While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” But when Jesus heard what had happened, he said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be healed.” When they arrived at the house, Jesus wouldn’t let anyone go in with him except Peter, John, James, and the little girl’s father and mother. The house was filled with people weeping and wailing, but he said, “Stop the weeping! She isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.” But the crowd laughed at him because they all knew she had died. Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice, “My child, get up!” And at that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up! Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. Her parents were overwhelmed, but Jesus insisted that they not tell anyone what had happened.

-In a Storm To the exiled Disciple-

-Revelation 1:17-18-

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as if I were dead. But he laid his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.
