GLORY OF CHRIST 11-02-21

_ 102214 Glory

Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Even if you don’t feel like it, do it anyway because it has nothing to do with how you feel. This is not an emotional walk, it’s a faith walk.

Today’s Prayer

Father, when everything seems to be flying apart in our lives and we feel overwhelmed, remind us to stop everything, to sit quietly, to center in on You, and to read Your Word. For only as we return to oneness with You can our harmony be restored. Remind us that You are our Shepherd, and we shall not want for inner peace, for strength, for confidence, and for answers, for You have promised that Your Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth and show us where we need to change. Thank You for always being there for us when we turn to You. In Jesus’ wonderful name we pray, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Threefold Glory of Christ

A Worm

Psalms 22:6

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help? Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer. Every night you hear my voice, but I find no relief. Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. Our ancestors trusted in you, and you rescued them. They cried out to you and were saved. They trusted in you and were never disgraced. But I am a worm and not a man. I am scorned and despised by all!

Suffering in Weakness; A Shepherd

Psalms 23

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Guiding in Faithfulness; A King

Psalms 24:7

The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. For he laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. Who may climb the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? Only those whose hands and hearts are pure, who do not worship idols and never tell lies. They will receive the LORD’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior. Such people may seek you and worship in your presence, O God of Jacob. Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.

Quote of the Day

It could be a sign of pride in your life if a word of reproof or admonition is not able to be received with the same grace, whether it be given by the poorest of saints or the most educated person. ~John Bunyan~
