THE HAND OF THE LORD 07-18-16

_ 071816 THOG

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. I’m here to tell all of you that the last few days have been full of trials for me. Most times we as Christians want to think we are being attacked by the enemy, but I’m here to tell you today, my battle was with the inner me. Some of my old tendencies tried to rear themselves in my life. I am so glad that God keeps me so close to the word or I would have fallen back into old habits. My advice to you all is to stay in the word.

Today’s Prayer

Father, We come before you today, grateful that you are always there even when we don’t think you are. You so graciously protect us in every situation regardless of how dumb we may be. We thank you for your mercy and grace in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Hand of the Lord

On behalf of His People, is Strong to Save

Matthew 14:25-31

About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!” But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

Skilled to Heal

Matthew 8:1-4

Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Then Jesus said to him, “Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

Mighty to Keep

John 10:27-29

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.

Opened to Supply

Psalm 109:26-28

Help me, O Lord my God! Save me because of your unfailing love. Let them see that this is your doing, that you yourself have done it, Lord. Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!

Quote of the Day

While sitting on the bank of a river one day, I picked up a solid round stone from the water and broke it open. It was perfectly dry in spite of the fact that it had been immersed in water for centuries. The same is true of many people in the Western world. For centuries they have been surrounded by Christianity; they live immersed in the waters of its benefits. And yet it has not penetrated their hearts; they do not love it. The fault is not in Christianity, but in men’s hearts, which have been hardened by materialism and intellectualism.
