KNOWLEDGE IS POWER 04-17-18

Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good yes, He is good. He is truly worthy to be praised. He continues to be the leading force in our lives even when we fall short day to day. You better give Him the highest praise right now, Hallelujah! We all should understand that knowledge is power.

Today’s Prayer

Father, Thank You for the privilege of being able to commune with You through prayer. Thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and teaching us through life’s circumstances. Thank you for the beautiful birds that sing such a lovely song, for the sun that shines, for the rain that cools and replenishes the thirsty earth and provides water for us to drink. We pray for those in lands where there is famine or flood; that You would balance the weather and provide their needs. Please reveal Your power, Your love, Your presence to them in a mighty way; that they would know that You are God. With love and happiness that comes from the peace You give, Lord. I put this and all things before you in the matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Knowledge that is Productive

For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.2 Peter 1:8

Productivity is a term all working believers and non-believers can relate to. It is the by-product of what we desire from our work. Without productivity, we don’t make sales, we don’t deliver goods, and we don’t achieve our goals. There are things in our work lives that can creep in and make us unproductive. The same is true in our walk with God.

In the bible apostle Peter tells us that we can become knowledgeable of Jesus but fail to be effective and productive in our relationship with Him. We are a society that has great knowledge, but our comparable scale of productivity from that knowledge is extremely weighted to the knowledge side. The apostle Peter tells us there is a solution to this dilemma.

In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(2 Peter 1:5-8).

Is your Christian experience filled with knowledge, but little power?

Is there staleness in your walk with God?

Is there unrest in your soul?

It may be due to a need to develop character that only the Holy Spirit can develop out of an obedient heart. Ask the Lord right now to add these qualities to your faith so that you can be productive as a soldier of Jesus Christ.

Quote of the day

I choose goodness… I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.
