(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. I had the honor of sitting in on a new bible study group this week and was blessed that the Lord put me in the mist of a manifestation of His promise. The subject of Confession came up and in answering their questions, the following scripture was what I offered. Let it bless you.
Today’s Prayer
Father, forgive us for too often burying our heads in the sand, thinking that what we don’t know won’t affect our lives. Help us to be alert to Satan’s deceptions, which sometimes cause even the elect to be deceived; as many today seek to destroy our nation, our Christian freedoms, and our families. Remind us that we can’t serve “other gods.” Let us turn to You, and commit our lives to standing on Your Word, trusting that even in our weakness, Your strength will be sufficient for us. Help us, Lord, to look around and see that as Christians, we need to move from being an ostrich to being Prayer Warriors, for more changes are brought about through intercessory prayer than this world realizes! In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Let’s eat.
Four Confessions
“I have sinned against the Lord”
2 Sam. 12:13
Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.
“I abhor myself and repent”
Job 42:1-6
Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I—and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me. You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’ I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes. I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.”
“I trust in the mercy of God”
Psalm 52:1-8
Why do you boast about your crimes, great warrior? Don’t you realize God’s justice continues forever? All day long you plot destruction. Your tongue cuts like a sharp razor; you’re an expert at telling lies. You love evil more than good and lies more than truth. You love to destroy others with your words, you liar! But God will strike you down once and for all. He will pull you from your home and uproot you from the land of the living. The righteous will see it and be amazed. They will laugh and say, “Look what happens to mighty warriors who do not trust in God. They trust their wealth instead and grow more and more bold in their wickedness.” But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love.
“I know whom I have believed”
2 Tim. 1:3-12
Timothy, I thank God for you—the God I serve with a clear conscience, just as my ancestors did. Night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers. I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again. I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you. This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News. That is why I am suffering here in prison. But I am not ashamed of it, for I know the one in whom I trust, and I am sure that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until the day of his return.
Quote of the Day
The God who created, names and numbers the stars in the heavens also numbers the stars of my head. He pays attention to very big things and to very small ones. What matters to me matters to Him, and that changes my life.
