Man’s History 09-09-19

Good day everyone. I’m going to ask a series of questions which I have asked a number of times over the years of sending out messages. This is going to make some of us uneasy and squirm in our seats as we read them. Just what kind of Christian are you? Are you a nominal Christian; a Christian in name only? Are you a lukewarm Christian; not really committed? Are you a Sunday Christian only and on week days giving no one any reason to suspect that you consider yourself a Christian? Do you only turn to God in times of crisis, and get upset if He doesn’t answer immediately? Would you be surprised if God said, “Where have you been?” In short, have you ever really felt close to God? Could it be because you’ve been too busy with your worldly life to study God’s Word, or to spend time with other Christians? Have you ever understood God’s will and promises? Just remember that God knows the answers already.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you this day standing in the gap for my brothers and sisters everywhere to ask that you would open our eyes and hearts to give You the proper respect. You are God 24 hours of everyday not just when we need something. You are there for us that know you for real and are not playing around. Ambush those that are playing around and bring them into the fullness that can come from accepting Jesus as there Lord and savior and a one on one relationship with you. Have Your way Lord and I will be careful to give you all honor and praise in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Man’s History

In Nature; Our Birth

Psalm 51:5

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night. Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.

Our Character

Titus 3:1-3

Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.

Our Path

Romans 3:10-16

As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous— not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” “Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies.” “Snake venom drips from their lips.” “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” “They rush to commit murder. Destruction and misery always follow them.

Our Conduct

Ephesians 2:1-2

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.

Our Company

Romans 1:20

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Our Prospects

Hebrews 10:27

There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.

Our Destiny

Matthew 7:13-14

You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

In Grace, Our Birthday

1 John 5:1

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.

Quote of the Day

Most of us labor under the delusion that we have every right to our lives; that we have the right to go where we wish, do as we please, live as we choose, and decide our own destiny. We do not. We belong to God. He made us for himself. He chose us in Christ out of love, from before the foundation of the earth to be his own. He has bought us twice over, both through his generous death and also by his amazing resurrection life.
