When I think about where I could be right now if it had not been for God’s grace I just want to shout thank you from the highest mountain. How about you?
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, today let us consider Your revelation to Your apostle Paul which is recorded in the twelfth verse of the sixth chapter of his letter to the Ephesian church: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against powers, against world forces of this darkness, against spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.” Oh Lord, save us from ourselves! Open our eyes before we become mesmerized by those who would try to lead us astray for their own purposes. Help us to realize that Satan often comes disguised as a seducer or temptress, a pretender, a deceiver, or a charming liar. Oh Lord, help us to recognize the enemy, for fear that we could be easily taken in. Help us to stand firmly on Your Word and to trust You to put protective angels around us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen and Amen.
Let’s eat.
THE LORD IS OUR HELP
Psalm 121
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
The real conflict is inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the catacombs of concentration camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are victories on the battle-field if we ourselves are defeated in our innermost personal selves?~Maximilian Kolbe~
