OUR SHEPARD 08-07-19

Good day everyone and give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good. In the last few days I have heard people say they don’t believe in God but they say thanks to me for being kind to them and others around them. News flash people; that kindness comes from the God in me. Let that hit you in your spirit.

Today’s Prayer

Father, as I sit here this morning before you, I can think of nothing I need other than to stand in the gap for those that are going through hard times and won’t come to you on their own. I ask that you would continue to work on their hearts and minds so that they will come to know you. Stir the spirits of your saints to go to them and give them a share of the good news and share the love that you bestow onto us daily in order for them to get the Holy spirit that you promised to all that accept Your son as Lord and savior. We will be careful to give you all honor and glory in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Jesus Christ, the Shepherd

The Good Shepherd

John 10:1-11 –

I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.” Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant, so he explained it to them:“I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them.Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.

Who Died for us; The Great Shepherd

Hebrews 13:18-21 –

Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do. And especially pray that I will be able to come back to you soon. Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

Who Lives for us; The Chief Shepherd

1 Peter 5:3

And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you: Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God.Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.

Quote of the Day

Every one, though born of God in an instant, yet undoubtedly grows by slow degrees.
