I PITY THE FOOL 03-31-17

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning and praise the Lord for another day and another chance to strengthen the kingdom. Here is the tip of the day. Move with the same enthusiasm you have when you are talking about your favorite athlete when you give your witness about Christ to someone.

Today’s Prayer

Father, it takes two to do anything in life; two to quarrel, two to forgive; two to make a marriage, two to break a marriage; two to enjoy friendship; two to share the beauty of a sunset. It also takes You and us, Lord, to make any sense out of life. Help us to want to center our lives on You, that we may reflect You in all that we do, so that our world, Yours and mine, will be brighter; and because we met, another’s world can be brighter too. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

I Pity The Fool

Psalm 14

1 Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; no one does good!

2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if there is even one with real understanding, one who seeks for God.

3 But no, all have turned away from God; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not even one!

4 Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread; they wouldn’t think of praying to the LORD.

5 Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him.

6 The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD will protect his people.

7 Oh, that salvation would come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel! For when the LORD restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.

Quote of the day

How fast we learn in a day of sorrow! Scripture shines out in new effulgence; every verse seems to contain a sunbeam, every promise stands out in illuminated splendour; things hard to be understood become in a moment plain!
