Good morning everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of all our praise. I really feel sorry for those who have been introduced to Jesus and yet reject the eternal life He offers those that believe. Today’s message is geared toward that mind set.
Today’s Prayer
Dear heavenly Father, help us to see how divided we have become as a nation. We were founded by those who sought freedom to worship You as their sovereign God, and as a developing nation we attracted others who came to our shores to find freedom. Today, our problem is not with those who bring their own “religion” to our shores. Our problem is with a homegrown group, a generation who writes its own rules based on its desire to go through life pushing its own life-style, unencumbered by any regulations. Open our eyes to see the dangers that such a philosophy brings to any society, and especially to ours where there are many of all ages who do put their trust in You and honor their Christian roots. Help all of us, Lord God, who sincerely believe in faith, family, and freedom. Hear our prayers as we seek to rebuild our nation’s spiritual foundations. Let us pray daily for Your guidance. In Jesus’ holy name we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Fools
-The Infidel Fool-
-Psalm 14-
Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! The Lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! Will those who do evil never learn? They eat up my people like bread and wouldn’t think of praying to the Lord. Terror will grip them, for God is with those who obey him. The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the Lord will protect his people. Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When the Lord restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.
-Wise in his conceit, The Worldly Fool-
-Luke 12:16-21-
Then he (Jesus) told them a story: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’ Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’ “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”
-Wise only for time, The Self-righteous Fool-
-Proverbs 28:1-6-
The wicked run away when no one is chasing them, but the godly are as bold as lions. When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily. But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability. A poor person who oppresses the poor is like a pounding rain that destroys the crops. To reject the law is to praise the wicked; to obey the law is to fight them. Evil people don’t understand justice, but those who follow the Lord understand completely. Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and rich.
-Wise in his ignorance, The Christian Fool-
-1 Corinthians 4:10-
Our dedication to Christ makes us look like fools, but you claim to be so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are so powerful! You are honored, but we are ridiculed.
Quote of the Day
Wisdom is the power to see and the inclination to choose the best and highest goal, together with the surest means of attaining it.
