PROMISE OF NEW THINGS 01-15-23

Praise the Lord for a new start and a new beginning. I do this a least once a year if not more so I’m putting out a challenge to each of you this fifteenth day of 2023. The challenge is this; find someone who you know has no relationship with God and dedicate this year to pray and ask God to equip that person with a heart for Him. It’s called discipleship.

Today’s Prayer

Father, on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ and as we seek Your direction for our lives at the beginning of this New Year, do I hear You asking, “What did you do with last year’s directions?”  Oh Lord, help us to humbly take stock of our lives and find areas that need to be more consecrated to You. Help us to sincerely want to go deeper into Your Word, to pray for others and to serve in our own “personal mission field.” Fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we may have the strength and power to change, so that we may reflect You each day of our lives. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray and give thanks, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The promise of new things

“I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” – Isaiah 43:16, 18-19

On this fifteenth day of this New Year, we must cling to the promise of new things from long ago. All we have to do is walk with the Lord and let Him do the provision. He promised that if you are going through tough times, it’s because you are being strengthen for the next part of your journey. If you’re not going through anything, then I would check out what camp you’re setting up your tent in. The enemy doesn’t attack those in his own camp. So hold your head high and let the King of Kings guide you down the path that leads to glory. Many New things in a New Year!

Quote of the Day

I have resolved to pray more and pray always, to pray in all places where quietness inviteth, in the house, on the highway, and on the street; and to know no street or passage in this city that may not witness that I have not forgotten God.
