Greetings everyone and thank the Lord for another wonderful day and a chance to give glory to Him in everything we do. Today and everyday is about His truth.
Today’s Prayer
Father, if we are ever to grow toward spiritual maturity, we must grow some each day. Teach us to say “Thank You, Lord” at the moment we notice a blessing; and let us say “Help me, Lord” when a need arises, confident that You want to be included in both our joys and problems. Let us be continually aware of Your presence, and receptive to Your Spirit’s bidding. In the matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Let’s eat.
Three Great Life Truths
Regeneration
Titus 3:1-5
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone. Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
Life Originated, Restoration
Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Life Maintained; Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:21-23
So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life. But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when he comes back.
Quote of the Day
I will trust Him. Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away. If I am in sickness, my sickness may serve Him; in perplexity, my perplexity may serve Him; if I am in sorrow, my sorrow may serve Him. My sickness, or perplexity, or sorrow may be necessary causes of some great end, which is quite beyond us. He does nothing in vain. ~John Henry Newman~
