(CLICK THE TITLE) Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Today my heart and soul are opened up to those in ministry and those that lead a flock. Today’s prayer reflects my thoughts.
Today’s Prayer
Father, Today I want to lift up pastors and others that are in charge of ministries to You in prayer. Oh, the responsibilities they bear! I pray that each one will come to You for their daily guidance, that they will hear from You and receive anointing for each and every day. I pray that they will be ministers and preachers who care for people and share Your Word to change lives and lead people to You. I pray for their safety from all harm and evil, for strength to resist temptations and to stand for what is right, for wisdom and insight, and for boldness and power through Your Holy Spirit. Give them rest and refreshment, love and encouragement, and the reward of spiritual blessings for giving of themselves to You as instruments to reach, teach, and shepherd in the name of Jesus. I pray for balance in their lives and that You will meet every need they have. Thank you for such precious Christian leaders. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Let’s eat.
Sowing in Tears Brings Gladness
Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. – Psalm 126:5
Think about this my friends. It is pretty easy to have faith when everything is going good. The most difficult place to keep moving in faith is the place of extreme pain. Extreme pain, especially emotional pain, can become immobilizing to our spirit if it is allowed to overcome us. The psalmist tells us there is only one remedy for overcoming painful circumstances that will result in joy. We are to sow in the midst of these times. You can’t do this if you live by feelings alone. It is an act of the will and the Holy spirit. This act requires that we go outside ourselves in pure faith.
I learned this principle not very many years ago during one of the deepest periods of my life. I had lost much that was dear to me. One of my close friends, a mature man in the ministry admonished me to reach out to others in spite of my own pain. “Place your focus on helping others,” he said. I didn’t realize what a place of healing and comfort that would become.
“He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him” (Ps. 126:6).
So we must follow what the instruction manual has pointed out to us. Pain can become a source of joy if we take the first step by planting seed. There is a harvest that will come if we sow in the midst of tears.
