STAY PREPARED FOR BATTLE 01-14-19

Good day everyone. The God we serve is marvelous beyond words. That’s why we just praise Him with every ounce of our being. By giving us His word, He is trying to equip us for the spiritual battle we fight every waking minute. Let the scripture today bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, as Your children, we want to try our wings! We want to fly free! Help us to see that only by committing our lives to You can we really be free; free from worry, free from wanting to sin, free from yielding to temptation. Only with Your help, Lord, will we ever be truly free – free to trust everything to You, free to serve, free to become all that You want us to be, free to be joyful! We want to try our wings, we want to fly free. Help us Lord. In the wonderful name of Jesus we pray and give thanks, Amen.

Quote of the Day

If you want to do something good, do it; and if you cannot do it, then resolve to do it, and you will have achieved the resolution even if you do not fulfill the action itself. Thus a habit, whether good or bad, can gradually and spontaneously be overcome. If this were not the case, no criminals would ever be saved, whereas in fact not only have they been saved, but many have become conspicuous for their excellence. Think what a great gulf separates the criminal from the saint; yet resolution finally overcame habit.
