Tapping Into Our Secret Weapon 03-03-17

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning everyone. I have been reading and praying about our rolls as Christians in and out of the four walls of our respective churches. It has been on my mind and I have shared before that our most important ministry work takes place in our everyday life. To make it even more clear, where we work and play. I ran across a tidbit of information that I’m going to share with you today.

Today’s Prayer

Father, we have entered the Lenten season, help us to assess our lives: as Christians, as the Church, and as a Nation. Help us to see our short-comings, and to discover Your vision for us! Let us each ask: … (1) Do I seek Your will and Your help daily? Do I read Your Word? Do I take time to encourage my family, and to lend a helping hand to someone in need? … (2) Do I feel that we, as Your Church, are adequately teaching Your Word — Your truth? … Do both our church and our government leaders seek Your will before they make decisions? … (3) Are we teaching our young people the difference between right and wrong? Do we explain that Your way of living brings joy, blessings, inner strength and peace, while wrong and sinful living brings severe consequences and heartache? … (4) Am I setting a good example by being a concerned citizen, by trying to do my part in turning our nation around? Do I let my representatives know when I think they are misleading us and ignoring our Christian heritage? … Oh Lord, forgive me as a Christian for too often standing on the sidelines. Help me to resolve to consecrate my life anew in order to be a better Christian in all areas of my life.

In JESUS’ name I pray. Amen.

He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.Colossians 4:12

Tapping Into Our Secret Weapon

Mark 24:44-49

44 Then he said, “When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. 46 And he said, “Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’ 48 You are witnesses of all these things. 49 “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.”

The Lord has called you and me to be ministers of the gospel in and through the workplace. This means we must fight our battles, grow our companies, and minister to our employees and vendors through the power of the Holy Spirit. Intercessory prayer is the secret weapon of Spirit-led activity. Imagine having intercessors who are part of your team, committed to helping you make decisions in your business/work life “that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.” It is a comforting feeling to know the decisions you and I make during the course of a business/work day are in the will of God.

Some time ago the Lord showed me that I needed to find intercessors for my business. I needed to use intercessors in the daily decision process for my business. This has transformed the way I conduct business. No major decisions are made without prayerful review with my intercessory team. Intercessors are the front-line warriors raised up to do battle for the saints. Ask God to rise up intercessors who can support you as you go forth in the battlefield of the workplace.

Quote of the Day

Too many churches today are devoid of the Spirit of Pentecost because they are dry and stale, where people are in a stupor; where worship services are wooden and so scripted that they are hollow; where the preaching is dull and flat; where the singing is Geritol-tired and without the vim and vigor which speaks of a crucified, died and risen Lord; where if anyone taps his foot and says, “Amen”, he is stared into silence, and if anyone shouts, “Thank you, Jesus” the people call the EMS or 911!
