Good day to you everyone. I woke up today and the thought of lost children hit my spirit. I feel very compelled to pray for them specifically.
Today’s Prayer
Father, I’m concerned for all the children who are missing from home. Some may have run away, some were abducted, some lured by predators. God I’ve seen faces of children on milk cartons, mailings, and social media posts. It breaks my heart to think of where they might be or what may have happened to them or how afraid they may be and how devastated those parents must be and the rest of the family. God, please be with all the children who are lost, who have disappeared through one way or another. I pray that You will protect them from harm and evil. I pray that You will help them find a way to escape and get help and make it back home to loving families. I pray that whoever has them will repent and return the children home or that they will pay the price at Your hands. I pray for the parents and family members, that You will comfort them and sustain them. I also pray for those children that are lost in spirit and don’t know Jesus. May they be led to Him so they can find peace and meaning in their lives. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray, Amen..
Let’s eat.
False Teaching and True Riches
(Insert your name where you see Timothy)
1 Timothy 6:3-10
Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. 3 Some false teachers may deny these things, but these are the sound, wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are the foundation for a godly life. 4 Anyone who teaches anything different is both conceited and ignorant. Such a person has an unhealthy desire to quibble over the meaning of words. This stirs up arguments ending in jealousy, fighting, slander, and evil suspicions. 5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they don’t tell the truth. To them religion is just a way to get rich. 6 Yet true religion with contentment is great wealth. 7 After all, we didn’t bring anything with us when we came into the world, and we certainly cannot carry anything with us when we die. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is at the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
Quote of the Day
Neither go back in fear and misgiving to the past, nor in anxiety and forecasting to the future, but lie quiet under His hand, having no will but His. ~H. E. Manning~
