The Gospel 07-06-19

Greetings everyone and praise the Lord for another day and another chance to spread the word of God. We in the middle of a holiday weekend where we spent time with friends and family and it’s my prayer that God is in the midst of everything you do. If not, He should have been and you should be asking forgiveness. Let’s move forward on the path.

Today’s Prayer

Father, when a new light bulb fails to light, we don’t say that there must be something wrong with the theory of electricity, but rather that there must be something wrong with its connection to the power source. When our prayers seem to go unanswered, help us to realize that it is not Your love or power that is missing, but rather our connection with You. Show us what thoughts or deeds of ours are causing the break, and help us to get in “sync” with You. In the wonderful name of Jesus we present this and all things, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Gospel

The Gospel of God

Romans 1:1-7

This letter is from Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, chosen by God to be an apostle and sent out to preach his Good News. God promised this Good News long ago through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures. The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line, and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. And you are included among those Gentiles who have been called to belong to Jesus Christ. I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

It’s Source; The Gospel of Christ

New Living Translation

Romans 1:16-17

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

It’s Subject; The Gospel of your Salvation

Ephesians 1:12-14

God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

Quote of the Day

God has wisely kept us in the dark concerning future events and reserved for himself the knowledge of them that he may train us up in a dependence upon himself and a continued readiness for every event.
