THE POWER OF PRAYER 03-11-18

Good morning and rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. I feel real good in my sanctified soul today because God has done a mighty work in me again. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the power of prayer. I will share my testimony as the meal today.

Today’s Prayer

Father, remind us that our prayer-line to You is a two-way one. It is not just for us to call You in a crisis situation, it is also for You to call us! How can we know Your will for us if we are never “at home,” quiet enough, to receive Your calls? Are we so preoccupied with our worldly cares that we don’t hear and recognize Your voice? Do we not take time to be still and to wait upon You, Lord? Remind us that You don’t just call on Sundays “when the rates are less;” You want to be able to reach us any time and any place, when You might need us, or when You know that we need You. Our lives could be so much richer and fuller, so much more Christian and worthwhile if we talked with You every day! Help us to see this, Lord. It’s our call, isn’t it? In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

The Power of Prayer

James 5:13-15

Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.”

It was 11 years ago today I received a call that my brother Paul had been taken to the hospital and was in intensive care. My family was told that he was in renal failure and would have to have dialysis because the kidneys had shut down. As I drove to the hospital which is about an hours drive from where I was at the time, I prayed for guidance and the above scripture feel into my spirit. I proceeded to go into the hospital room and laid hands on my brother and ask the lord to have his way in the situation. I had also put my brother name on the prayer chain. When I got to the hospital the very next day, the doctors had told the family that they were not sure how it happened but my brother kidneys were functioning and they were monitoring him for a day or so. Here I am 11 years later to tell you that Paul is still among us and praising God every day that He saw fit to keep him here to be a living testimony to the power of God and prayer.

This is just another clear example of how God answers our prayers. Man had spoken what could have been a curse on his body, but God said no. PRAISE HIM FOR WHO HE IS, GOD ALL BY HIMSELF.

Quote of the Day

The power of God is mind blowing to those that know Him. It’s an unexplainable phenomena to those who try to be “little gods” and don’t believe in Him.
