Three Present Blessings 11-26-19

Good day everyone. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will continually be in my mouth. He is in the blessing business for those that love and receive Him. It’s our job to stay blessed by keeping Him first.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to ask that you would help us see the blessings of our Christian faith. The past is past, and put aside; the future is in Your hands, Lord, but the “now” is up to us. This is where we either reflect You or not, in how we live today. Fill us with Your Spirit; enable us to be more than we are, that we may seize this precious time that will not come again, and live today to Your glory. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

 Three Present Blessings

Justified by Christ

Galatians 2:17-21

But suppose we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then we are found guilty because we have abandoned the law. Would that mean Christ has led us into sin? Absolutely not! Rather, I am a sinner if I rebuild the old system of law I already tore down. For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Our Righteousness, Sanctified to Christ

Hebrews 13:12-14

So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood. So let us go out to him, outside the camp, and bear the disgrace he bore. For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.

Our Holiness Accepted in Christ

Ephesians 1:3-8

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Quote of the Day

We never know how much real faith we have until it is put to the test in some fierce storm; and that is the reason why the Savior is on board. If you are ever to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, your strength will be born in some storm.
