Times and Seasons 11-23-16

_ 060516 MEETING

(CLICK THE PICTURE) Good morning everyone. As you read the scripture today, please insert your name, your city or country where appropriate in order for it to speak directly to you. It is said that people come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. It’s up to use to discern which is which.

Today’s Prayer

Dear heavenly Father, help us to see how divided we have become as a nation. We were founded by those who sought freedom to worship You as their sovereign God, and as a developing nation we attracted others who came to our shores to find freedom. Today, our problem is not with those who bring their own “religion” to our shores. Our problem is with a homegrown group, a generation who writes its own rules based on its desire to go through life pushing its own life-style, unencumbered by any regulations. Open our eyes to see the dangers that such a philosophy brings to any society, and especially to ours where there are many of all ages who do put their trust in You and honor their Christian roots. Help all of us, Lord God, who sincerely believe in faith, family, and freedom. Hear our prayers as we seek to rebuild our nation’s religious foundations. Let us pray daily for Your guidance. In Jesus wonderful name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Times and Seasons

Time of Love

Ezekiel 16:1-8

Then another message came to me from the Lord: “Son of man, confront Jerusalem with her detestable sins. Give her this message from the Sovereign Lord: You are nothing but a Canaanite! Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. On the day you were born, no one cared about you. Your umbilical cord was not cut, and you were never washed, rubbed with salt, and wrapped in cloth. No one had the slightest interest in you; no one pitied you or cared for you. On the day you were born, you were unwanted, dumped in a field and left to die. “But I came by and saw you there, helplessly kicking about in your own blood. As you lay there, I said, ‘Live!’ And I helped you to thrive like a plant in the field. You grew up and became a beautiful jewel. Your breasts became full, and your body hair grew, but you were still naked. And when I passed by again, I saw that you were old enough for love. So I wrapped my cloak around you to cover your nakedness and declared my marriage vows. I made a covenant with you, says the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.

The Gospel Age; Time of Visitation

Luke 19:41-44

But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes. Before long your enemies will build ramparts against your walls and encircle you and close in on you from every side. They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not accept your opportunity for salvation.”

Revival Seasons; Time of Judgment

Revelation 11:15-18

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven: “The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever.” The twenty-four elders sitting on their thrones before God fell with their faces to the ground and worshiped him. And they said, “We give thanks to you, Lord God, the Almighty, the one who is and who always was, for now you have assumed your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of your wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants the prophets, as well as your holy people, and all who fear your name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.”

Quote of the Day

Your true identity is as a child of God. This is the identity you have to accept. Once you have claimed it and settled in it, you can live in a world that gives you much joy as well as pain. You can receive the praise as well as the blame that comes to you as an opportunity for strengthening your basic identity, because the identity that makes you free is anchored beyond all human praise and blame. You belong to God, and it is as a child of God that you are sent into the world
