Two Meeting Places 06-05-19

Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. This and everyday is given to us to give glory to God. Start with you next breath, your next thought and everything within you.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I have prayed this prayer many times and I feel pressed to pray it again for the sake of my brothers and sisters in Christ, some of which have known you or about you for just a short time. The fact is; just as a potter must have moist and flexible clay to shape his vessels, so too You need us to be pliable if You are to mold us according to Your will. Father, help us to yield ourselves completely to You — mind, will and emotions. Melt us, mold us, fill us, use us; Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us. Only then can we go forth — in Your name, to celebrate Your sovereignty; in the name of Your Son, to proclaim His message; and in the name of the Holy Spirit, empowered to serve. In the wonderful name of Jesus I present this and all things, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

Two Meeting Places

The Mercy seat

Exodus 25:10-22

Have the people make an Ark of acacia wood—a sacred chest 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high. Overlay it inside and outside with pure gold, and run a molding of gold all around it. Cast four gold rings and attach them to its four feet, two rings on each side. Make poles from acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. Insert the poles into the rings at the sides of the Ark to carry it. These carrying poles must stay inside the rings; never remove them. When the Ark is finished, place inside it the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, which I will give to you. “Then make the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement—from pure gold. It must be 45 inches long and 27 inches wide. Then make two cherubim from hammered gold, and place them on the two ends of the atonement cover. Mold the cherubim on each end of the atonement cover, making it all of one piece of gold. The cherubim will face each other and look down on the atonement cover. With their wings spread above it, they will protect it. Place inside the Ark the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, which I will give to you. Then put the atonement cover on top of the Ark. I will meet with you there and talk to you from above the atonement cover between the gold cherubim that hover over the Ark of the Covenant. From there I will give you my commands for the people of Israel.

Grace; The Great White Throne

Revelation 20:11-15

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

All must meet God at the one or the other

Quote of the Day

Jesus has many lovers of His kingdom of heaven, but he has few bearers of His Cross. Many desire His consolation, but few desire His tribulation. He finds many comrades in eating and drinking, but He finds few hands who will be with Him in His abstinence and fasting…But those who love Jesus purely for Himself, and not for their own profit or convenience, bless Him as heartily in temptation and tribulation and in all other adversities as they do in time of consolation. And if He never sent them consolation, they would still bless and praise Him.
