(CLICK THE PICTURE) Greetings everyone and praise God for another beautiful day. As I sat down to write and thought about the tests that are before us, all I get is the word “VICTORY.” So I’m going to let the scripture minister to start your day off right.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, it isn’t “love that makes the world go ’round,” is it? It takes people, people like us, to show Your love so that others will ask, “WHY?” Then we can say, “Because You first loved us.” Oh Lord, give us courage to mention You, for all our loving can’t give someone salvation, or make anyone a NEW BEING; only You can do that. Give us the words to introduce You to others. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
Let’s eat.
Threefold Victory
Victory over Sin
Romans 6:12-14 –
Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
By Grace; Victory over Satan
1 John 2:9-14 –
If anyone claims, “I am living in the light,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves another brother or sister is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble. But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness. I am writing to you who are God’s children because your sins have been forgiven through Jesus. I am writing to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I am writing to you who are young in the faith because you have won your battle with the evil one. I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. I have written to you who are young in the faith because you are strong. God’s word lives in your hearts and you have won your battle with the evil one.
By the Word; Victory over the World
1 John 5:4 –
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments. Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world and we achieve this victory through our faith.
Quote of the Day
We may not preach a crucified Savior without being also crucified men and women. It is not enough to wear an ornamental cross as a pretty decoration. The cross that Paul speaks about was burned into his very flesh, was branded into his being, and only the Holy Spirit can burn the true cross into our innermost life.
