WHAT GOD HAS MADE 03-17-23

_ 031716 CREATION

Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of our praise. This is a day we have never seen before and will never see again. How will you use it to glorify God? Today I have a yearning to pray for parents everywhere because of things I see happening and hear about daily.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come to you today standing in the gap for parents everywhere and confessing that we of today’s society have allowed, or created, and sometimes abetted easy access to drugs, either by intent or by lack of attention. The resulting situation has made parenting one of today’s most difficult tasks! Help us to realize that as citizens, and as Christians, we each have a responsibility, through our prayers and our actions, to change this situation. Oftentimes when we pray for guidance You send it in ways we are apt to miss! However, we pray that You will give parents wisdom, understanding, love, strength, and even tough-love when needed for discipline. Help us to stay the course, for the life of a son or a daughter is precious to You, to their parents, and to all of us, for our youth will shape the future of our nation. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

What God Has Made

Made Him to be Sin

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 –

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Sinless Surety made to meet on Him iniquity

Isaiah 53:1-6 –

Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm? My servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance, nothing to attract us to him. He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.

Result Made nigh by blood

Ephesians 2:11-13 –

Don’t forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders. You were called “uncircumcised heathens” by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

The Perfect Title made for Heaven

Colossians 1:11-14 –

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

Quote of the Day

Living in the present means squarely accepting and responding to it as God’s moment for you now while it is called “today” rather than wishing it were yesterday or tomorrow. ~Evelyn Underhill~
