What Grace Does 04-05-21

1 090313 Grace

Good morning everyone. We woke up this morning only by the GRACE OF GOD. Let that grab you for a little while before you go any further with your chest all poked out like you had something to do with it. It’s by His grace and that’s where I’m going to take you today.

Today’s Prayer

Father, I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to state some plain and simple facts; the question is not how righteous and merciful You are, but rather how righteous and sincere we are. Repenting, both as a nation and as an individual does not mean just saying, “I’m sorry to have ignored Your Word.” It means turning around, looking at our wrong opinions and actions, and seeking to go Your way. Thank You Father, that You are indeed merciful and just, and that You don’t give us what we deserve, but rather what You know we need to bring us back to You. Help us pray, “Thy will be done,” and mean it. Help us first to truly commit our selves to seeking to know Your will, and then give us the courage and strength to live by it daily. Let us be someone else’s gospel and we will be sure to give you all the honor and glory in Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen.

Let’s eat.

What Grace Does

Justified by Grace

Romans 3:23-24

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.

Source of Deliverance; Saved by Grace

Ephesians 2:4-5

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Principle of Salvation; Standing in Grace

Romans 5:1-2

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

Ground of Access; Singing with Grace

Colossians 3:16-17

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Motive for Praise; Serving in Grace

Hebrews 12:28

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

Quote of the Day

God has arranged it so that we are the only Bible that some people will ever hear. If we proclaim the message of the Cross in the power of the Spirit, Jesus will do the rest. Paul wrote, “You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tables of human hearts” (2 Corinthians. 3:3). spiritual growth is important not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of others who will be changed through the message we carry. -John Wimber
