YOUR REQUESTS 07-01-20

lets give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, yes He is good. On this first day of a new month, I’m grateful for all of you, my spiritual family as we give thanks to the Lord.

Today’s Prayer

Father, forgive us for thinking that full-time discipleship is only for ministers or other professional Christian workers, for You have called each of us, Your people, to be full-time Christians, at home with our families, at our places of employment, while driving to work or to shop, and as we meet those who daily cross our paths? Do we reflect You as we wait in a check-out line, and do we stand on Your Word as we face our political concerns and responsibilities? Remind us that often our actions or lack of action speak louder than words, and that nations are in danger of falling when good people remain silent. Give us wisdom and courage to live every day as Your representatives, for we may be the only “gospel” that some people will ever encounter. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

LET YOUR REQUESTS BE KNOWN

Psalm 4

1
Answer me when I call,
O God who declares me innocent.
Take away my distress.
Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.

2
How long will you people ruin my reputation?
How long will you make these groundless accusations?
How long will you pursue lies?

3
You can be sure of this: The LORD has set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.

4
Don’t sin by letting anger gain control over you. Think about it overnight and remain silent.

5
Offer proper sacrifices, and trust in the LORD.

6
Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let the smile of your face shine on us, LORD.

7
You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and wine.

8
I will lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

Quote of the Day

The mechanics of a Spirit-filled life do not provide for a spasmodic filling that is, the Christian is not filled only when doing service such as preaching or teaching, but the Christian who is living a normal life of moment by moment yielded ness to God experiences a moment by moment fullness of the Spirit. No Christian can do with less and at the same time live a victorious life.
