BLOOD PLUS WATER EQUAL GLORY 06-30-22

_ 100515 BLOOD

What a wonderful day we have in front of us. We should use it wisely. Today I am reflecting on the day I was saved and washed clean of who I used to be by the blood of Jesus. So we are going to feast on what the bible says about two cleansing agents.

Today’s Prayer

Father, Please help us to be sensitive to other people’s needs and feelings. Help us to love them and encourage them through special touches, like remembering special occasions through phone calls, prayers, notes, cards, visits, even gifts at times. Help us to always make other people feel special and valued, for they are all Your creation and deserve to be valued. We pray that through our words and actions, You will be glorified and lifted up and people will be drawn unto You. In Jesus’ name we pray and give thanks, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Blood and Water

John 19:34

However, one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and blood and water flowed out.

1 John 5:6

And we know he is, because God said so with a voice from heaven when Jesus was baptized, and again as he was facing death –yes, not only at his baptism but also as he faced death. And the Holy Spirit, forever truthful, says it too. So we have these three witnesses: the voice of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, the voice from heaven at Christ’s baptism, and the voice before he died. And they all say the same thing: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Blood to Atone

Leviticus 17:11

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given you the blood to sprinkle upon the altar as an atonement for your souls; it is the blood that makes atonement, because it is the life.

Romans 3:25

For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God’s anger against us. He used Christ’s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath. In this way he was being entirely fair, even though he did not punish those who sinned in former times. For he was looking forward to the time when Christ would come and take away those sins.

Water to Cleanse

Numbers 19:18

Then a person who is not defiled shall take hyssop branches and dip them into the water and sprinkle the water upon the tent and upon all the pots and pans in the tent, and upon anyone who has been defiled by being in the tent, or by touching a bone, or touching someone who has been killed or is otherwise dead, or has touched a grave.

John 13:10

Jesus replied, “One who has bathed all over needs only to have his feet washed to be entirely clean. Now you are clean–but that isn’t true of everyone here.”

Quote of the Day

To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances; To seek Him, the greatest adventure; To find him, the greatest human achievement. ~Augustine~
