BRING THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE 03-04-24

The words of one of my favorite praise songs says what I Feel about being in the presence of the Lord best this morning; better is one day in your courts, better is one day in your house, better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere.

Today’s Prayer

(This is an individual Prayer)

Father, I sing unto You today. I lift my voice in praise. My voice may be a joyful “noise” to others, but to You, it is praise from my heart and my lips. I sing a song to Your faithfulness, Your loving-kindness, Your steadfastness, Your power and Your wondrous works, Your awesome miracles, Your mercy and grace. I thank You my sweet Jesus, for saving my soul and setting me on higher ground. You are beautiful, majestic, worthy of all praise and worship. You are everything and in You everything exists. Hallelujah, You reign in heaven and in my heart! I thank You and love You. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

BRING THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE

Psalm 37:1-6

1 Don’t worry about the wicked. Don’t envy those who do wrong. 2 For like grass, they soon fade away. Like springtime flowers, they soon wither.

3 Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. 4 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. 5 Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. 6 He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

Quote of the Day

These large birds, [cranes] that fly great distances across Continents, have three remarkable qualities. First, they rotate Leadership; No one bird stays out in front all the time. Second, they choose leaders who can handle turbulence. And then, all during the time one bird is leading, the rest are honking their affirmation. That’s not a bad model for the church. Certainly we need leaders who can handle turbulence and who are aware that leadership ought to be shared. But most of all, we need a church where we are all honking encouragement. ~Bruce Larson~
