Good day everyone. As I sit here waiting for how I’m to move forward with this message and “new life” dropped into my spirit. I thought about how most fruit has seeds and when planted in the proper soil, produce more fruit. Get ready for a banquet.
Today’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, when we feel helpless, hurt, ridiculed and forsaken, remind us that You have felt that way too. There is really NOTHING that we can ever face that You have not experienced. If we are a hostage or a prisoner, or if we are in bondage to sin, You were that also when You hung on the cross. If we feel helpless when a loved one suffers, or turns away from us, You also knew that sadness when Your love was rejected. If there seems to be no one for us in our aloneness, grief or suffering, We should remember that You too must have felt deserted, alone and without hope in the Garden of Gethsemane. Oh Lord, only You can really understand our problems. What a friend we have in You! We are not alone, are we? Thank You, Lord, and we ask that You continue to fill our lives with Your glorious presence. In your holy name we pray, Amen and Amen.
Let’s eat.
Regeneration
A New Life from God, and Inward Working in the Soul
It’s Necessity
John 3:7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You[a] must be born again.’
Galatians 6:15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.
Ephesians 2:2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
It’s Nature
John 3:5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 5:17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Ephesians 4:24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
It’s Agent
John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.
Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
It’s Instrument
1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.
James 1:18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
John 5:24 “I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
It’s Manifestation
1 John 5:1-2 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too. We know we love God’s children if we love God and obey his commandments.
Quote of the Day
If I find myself half-carelessly taking lapses for granted, “Oh, that’s what they always do.” “Oh, of course she talks like that, he acts like that,” then I know nothing of Calvary love.
