Good morning everyone. If you don’t do anything else today, remember that we are children of God and we should carry ourselves in that very manner. We are going forward in the spirit.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Father, remind each of us that saying one is sorry is only the beginning of righting the wrongs we have committed. Repentance requires that we turn around and not repeat our careless or intentional sins. For any of us, turning around is the test of our sincerity, isn’t it? We each set examples, whether we realize it or not, for we never know when our lives will be used as an example or excuse for someone else’s behavior! Father, help us to realize this for our sake! In Jesus’ wonderful name we pray, Amen.

Let’s eat.

In the Spirit part 2
Pray in the Spirit

Ephesians 6:11-19

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“In what can I hope, then, or in whom ought I trust, save only in the great mercy of God and the hope of heavenly grace? For though I have with me good people, devout brethren, faithful friends, holy books, beautiful treatises, sweet songs and hymns, all these help and please but little when I am abandoned by grace and left to my poverty. At such times there is no better remedy than patience and resignation of self to the will of God.”
