Life in the Spirit 10-12-19

Good day everyone. Oh give thanks unto the Lord for He is good yes He is good and worthy of all praise. We are so blessed to be children of God and have the task to spread the gospel through the power of the Holy Ghost. Prepare your hearts and minds for the word today.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus, open our eyes to see that more than at any other time in the last 2000 years the world is systematically setting about to deny You. More and more we as a nation are voting You out. More and more, as in the Book of Judges, “Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”* Oh Lord, before it is too late, open the minds and hearts of Christians everywhere to desire You, and to work to make a difference. Keep us from the deception of Your enemies and ours. Help us not to be just “Sunday-only” Christians. In Your name we pray. Amen.

Let’s eat.

Life in the Spirit

Imparted by the Spirit

John 3:5-8

Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

Regeneration Springing up in the Spirit

John 4:13-14

Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Worship, God ward Out flowing through the Spirit

John 7:38

On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”

Quote of the Day

Envied by some, despised by many, hated by others, often blamed for things I never heard of or had nothing to do with… often sick in body as well as perplexed in mind and embarrassed by circumstances-had not the Lord been specially gracious to me, had not my mind been sustained by the conviction that the work is His and that He is with me in what it is no empty figure to call “The think of the conflict,” I must have fainted or broken down. But the battles is the Lord’s, and He will conquer. We may fail-do fail continually-but He never fails. Still, I need your prayers more than ever.
