Psalms 3 (Crying Out) 11-12-16

_ 07-29-14 Psalms 3

(CLICK THE TITLE) Good morning and praise the Lord for His mercy and grace. We have so much to be thankful for. Give Him some praise right now! Some mornings as I sit down to share a message from my soul, things just pop into my spirit, point in case, the Psalm of the day. Let it bless you.

Today’s Prayer

Father God, early in the morning we cry to you. Help us to pray And to concentrate our thoughts on you: we can’t do this alone. In us there is darkness, but with you there is light; we are lonely, but you don’t leave us; we are feeble in heart, but with you there is help; we are restless, but with you there is peace. In us there is bitterness, but with you there is patience; we don’t understand your ways, but you know the way for us. Restore us to liberty and enable us to live now that we may answer before you. Lord, whatever this day may bring, may Your name be praised. In the matchless name of Jesus we pray and give thanks, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Psalms 3

1. O Lord, so many are against me. So many seek to harm me. I have so many enemies. 2. So many say that God will never help me. 3. But Lord, you are my shield, my glory, and my only hope. You alone can lift my head, now bowed in shame. 4. I cried out to the Lord, and he heard me from his Temple in Jerusalem. 5. Then I lay down and slept in peace and woke up safely, for the Lord was watching over me. 6. And now, although ten thousand enemies surround me on every side, I am not afraid. 7. I will cry to him, “Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God!” And he will slap them in the face, insulting them and breaking off their teeth. 8. For salvation comes from God. What joys he gives to all his people.

Quote of the Day

Give us, O Lord, steadfast hearts that cannot be dragged down by false loves; give us courageous hearts that cannot be worn down by trouble; give us righteous hearts that cannot be sidetracked by unholy or unworthy goals. Give to us also, our Lord and God, understanding to know You, wisdom to recognize You, and a faithfulness that will bring us to see You face to face.
