THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT HIS NAME! 07-06-15

_ 070615 ALL IN THE NAME

Good day everyone. Say the name, say the name. I am sitting here looking at day break and thinking about the many names the God that we serve has. I came to the realization that some of you may not know any of these names so I’m going to present 7 of them to you today. You might want to post this meal on you refrigerator and send it to a friend.

Today’s Prayer

Dear Heavenly father I come before you this morning on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ to simply say thank You for your mercy and Grace. Thank You for sending your Son to wipe away our sins so that we may have eternal life and not death. Thank you for caring that much for us. We present this and all things to You in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let’s eat.

Seven Names For Our Father

Jehovah-Jireh – The Lord will provide

(Genesis 22:14)

Abraham named the place “Jehovah provides”–and it still goes by that name to this day.

Jehovah-tsidkenu – The Lord our Righteousness

(Jeremiah 23:6)

For the time is coming, says the Lord, when I will place a righteous Branch upon King David’s throne. He shall be a King who shall rule with wisdom and justice and cause righteousness to prevail everywhere throughout the earth. And this is his name: The Lord Our Righteousness. At that time Judah will be saved and Israel will live in peace.

Jehovah-ropheka – The Lord our Healer

(Exodus 15:26)

“If you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and obey it, and do what is right, then I will not make you suffer the diseases I sent on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Jehovah-shalom – The Lord our Peace

(Judges 6:24)

And Gideon built an altar there and named it “The Altar of Peace with Jehovah.” (The altar is still there in Ophrah in the land of the Abiezrites.)

Jehovah-rophi – The Lord our Shepherd

(Psalms 23:1)

Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!

Jehovah-nissi – The Lord our Banner

(Exodus 17:15)

Moses built an altar there and called it “Jehovah-nissi” (meaning “Jehovah is my flag (or Banner)”).“Raise the banner of the Lord!” Moses said. “For the Lord will be at war with Amalek generation after generation.”

Jehovah-shammah – The Lord is there

(Ezekiel 48:35)

“The entire circumference of the city is six miles. And the name of the city will be `The City of God.”’

These seven titles embrace all the fullness of Jehovah’s Name manifested in Christ for His people, completely meeting all their need from guilt to glory.

Quote of the Day

What is meant by “follow”? To follow signifies that the way I tread and the place where I go are all decided by someone else. We are following the Lord; therefore we have no authority to decide our own path. The body in its relation to the Head can only obey and follow. If we wish to live out the life of the body of Christ we must cover our own head; that is to say, we must not have our personal opinion, egoistic will or selfish thought. We can only obey the Lord and let Him be the Head.
